Graphite s.r.l. mainly deals in art restoration and conservation. For this specific intervention, restoration was needed for an ancient white-marble vase that had been destroyed by an ancient pine tree falling on top of it. The operation required many different restoration techniques to bring the artefacts to their original splendour: first, it was necessary to consolidate the basin to its base, to keep on going with the gathering and glueing of all the detached pieces thanks to stainless steel threads and, finally, reshape the reconstructed parts.
